Japan Trip 2013: Day 4 (Kyoto-hen)
The main activity for Day 4 of the trip was Aoi Matsuri. I was looking out for festivals that we could attend ever since hearing about Gion Matsuri and it turns out Aoi Matsuri would be happening during our stay there!

Japan Trip 2013: Day 1
And so my long-awaited graduation trip has ended! The planning was tough but definitely worth it as I managed to cover almost everything I wanted with not too much time spent getting lost... Walked, seen, ate, and experienced a lot of Japan that I did not in my previous trips there. I'll chronicle the trip in a series of posts in the next few weeks. Photos credited to everyone in my travel group.

Japan Trip 2013: お握りの伝説 (Onigiri no Densetsu)
またせたな
Been busy with the final semester of school and couldn't afford the time to blog! Whatever free time I had was spent catching up on essential anime and planning for my graduation trip. I'll be leaving tonight with 3 other comrades. If it's not a total disaster and I'm not too lazy when I get back, I'll be blogging and posting photos here. Check back in about 2 weeks!
Meanwhile, follow me on Twitter or check out the hashtag #oniden.

VocaFarre!!-Act 0-
The VocaFarre!!-Act 0- event was streamed live on Nico Nico from the NicoFarre live hall in Roppongi, Tokyo this afternoon. It served as a press event to introduce some new Yamaha-created characters to the Vocaloid v3 software suite, as well as a demonstration of the already-released core Vocaloid v3 software (they did a quick demonstration of Cutie Honey's OP). Note that the most famous vocaloid v1 (Meiko, Kaito) and v2 (Miku, Rin, Len, Luka) characters were all Crypton Media's creations, not Yamaha's. While IA isn't exactly one of those new characters introduced today, I think it was the best voice pack among all the v3 voices so far.

Peeping thru a keyhole
Anyone else used Keyhole TV before? It's a cool little P2P app that allows people to stream TV shows and radio. Lots of people in Japan stream stuff on it for gaijin like us to watch outside of Japan.
