When I first heard of the premise, I didn't know what to expect. I mean, these are the people who made K-ON!, the show about girls in a light music club, and they hardly played any music. So I guess its appropriate for Tamako Market to be a weird fantasy series with slice-of-life moments and hardly any fantasy elements. Save for that talking bird. DERA MOCHIMAZZI!
Character designs tend to follow the K-ON! style (all KyoAni series post K-ON! has done this...), with the lead resembling a mix of Yui and Mio. Tamako's younger sister, Anko, is basically loli imouto Azunyan. That's almost all the reason I need to follow this show. GJ KyoAni!
