Mii want Wii!!!

You would thiink that Nintendo should have learnt a few lessons from Virtual Boy, but now they're back agaiin, thiis time wiith the Wii!

Of course, this is no Virtual Boy. Nintendo, with its impressive game portfolio of Mario, Donkey Kong and Zelda, and long history of successful console launches (NES, SNES, N64...), is now back in full force after its disappointing Gamecube console was launched. The company that once single-handedly revived the video game industry after its 1970s crash is now all geared up to take gaming to a whole new level by introducing it to a new audience (and make tons of money in the process).

Will it work? Wii will find out soon enough! The console launches in the states on November 19, 2 days after the PS3 launch, and December 2 in Japan. Judging by the success of the Nintendo DS, the Wii console is probably going to fly off shelves this holiday season.

Personally, I'm really looking forward to this console. It's gonna bring a totally new experience to gaming! I'm glad Nintendo decided to take the creative route instead of joining the hardware arms race. Sure the PS3 has the horsepower, but does it have the games? It's gonna be the same thing over and over again, just with updated graphics ("Ridggggggge Racer!" lol!). With the Wii, things are going to be a little different. I have some doubts though...... Wiill the experience continue to be fresh after the first few months? Wiill the novelty just wear off after a while? Wiill I get tennis elbows from playing Wii Tennis???

Wii'll just have to waiit and sii...

Edit: Here's a Wii wallpaper I made!
